This Spa, established in 1912, is a true gem of Slovakia, celebrated for its exquisite Art Nouveau architecture that exudes an unparalleled atmosphere of elegance and tranquility.

Central to the spa’s allure is the historic Mud Pool, where guests can immerse themselves in therapeutic mud and healing waters maintained at a comforting 39°C. This unique pool, with separate areas for men and women, is complemented by the equally enchanting Mirror Pool, a thermal bath that captures the same timeless charm and serenity.

The Spa offers a wide array of more than 60 medical and therapeutic treatments, each carefully designed to enhance health and relaxation. Beyond the historic pools, the spa features five hydrotherapy pools, an outdoor thermal swimming pool (32-34°C), and a whirlpool, providing a diverse selection of water-based therapies.

For those seeking deeper relaxation, the Wellness & Relaxation Centre spans 1200 m² and includes both indoor and outdoor pools filled with thermal water, a whirlpool, and a comprehensive sauna world. The sauna facilities include Finnish, infrared, and steam saunas, along with showers and a tepidarium, creating a holistic wellness experience.

THERMAL WATER PROPERTIES

The effects of the mineral-rich thermal waters are powerful and varied, most notably for inhibiting muscular skeletal inflammation and for supporting the production of collagen and elastin in cartilage, sinews and connective tissue. The hyperthermic and mineral qualities also dilate blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and improving lymph flow.

MUD PROPERTIES

Mud in this spa is uniquely rich in sulfur and hydrogen sulfide which gives it a powerful therapeutic action on muscular skeletal disorders, which also benefit from its natural heat-conducting qualities and high levels of rare, live bacteria. Harvested from the banks of the town’s River Váh, this blue-almost-black peloid sediment is ‘ripened’ or matured for at least a year, in special pools of the spring’s thermal water, before use in the spa. The mud is certified throughout the European Union for its physical, chemical and biological qualities for therapeutic purposes.
